ZANE THOMAS/WAGONER TRIBUNE Students from the classes of Randi Charboneau and Grace McMahan, along with
Sherry Ruyle, kindergarten reading lab assistant, Melissa Nail, reading lab teacher and Janet Dotson, principal of Ellington,
look over some of the new books donated to the school district.

Anyone who doesn’t think giving someone a book is a good gift should speak to employees of
Wagoner Public Schools. Recently, the school district received 2,000 books from Bruce Larkin,
a children’s author, and his company, Wilbooks. “We’re overwhelmed with the donation,”
Janet Dotson, principal of Ellington Elementary School said. “It comes at a time when we’re
watching every dollar being spent.” She said some teachers were so excited they danced when
they saw the books. “If you want to get a teacher excited, bring books,” Dotson remarked.
“It was like Christmas here in the reading lab.”
